| Those are all very cool. I'd like to have that one that looks something like a Country Gentleman. What a stand out! |

The one that looks like a Country gentleman is a BroadKaster Bass. Gretsch used to make a Country Gent bass - it had the biggest headstock you've ever seen! You could dig a tunnel with it!
They also used to make a Tennessean bass - this was perhaps their most high profile model as it was the one used by Peter Tork from the Monkees. Unlike the tennessean six string the bass version had a four-in-line headstock a la Fender. |

| I never knew there was a Country Gentleman bass. Ever since I saw that BroadKaster I've been thinking about having one. I found that it was actually modeled after the Tennessee Rose. I think it's much nicer looking than the CG bass but I did manage to find a picture of one. http://www.hendrixguitars.com/Ba277.htm |

I'm changing my ISP, so the bass pic. I have posted a few post up, will most likely be lost as it is hosted by my soon to be old ISP. My new ISP does not offer free pic. hosting.
If anyone wants to save it for themselves and/or re-post it on this thread for forum members to view feel free to do so or It'll be gone Dec. 1st or soon after. |

The Bass is a G1212 or a G1222 Synchromatic Jet bass. Here's a link bass in the pic. I hope it brings you right to the bass your talking about. If not it should bring you to the Gretsch home page and you can find it from there by clicking on GEAR at the top of the page and then click on Synchromatic collection and scrolling down.
http://www.gretschguitars.com/gear/index.php?product=G1212&cat1=&cat2=&q=&st=1
Hope this helped. |

I have the 6175 Bass (very much like the top bass pictured) and the Broadkaster (Just like the second one pictured but in Gretsch orange)
I wasn't intending to buy the Broadkaster but when he opened the case I said "sold"! |
